Vajont dam

3 km from Erto

It was on the evening of 9th you of October 1963 when a gigantic landslide detached from Monte Tóc fell into the newly completed artificial hydroelectric base of the Vajont torrent, on the border between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto. The overflow of the water contained in the reservoir flooded the small villages of Erto and Casso, which were located on the shore of the lake formed after the construction of the dam, while the wave generated caused the destruction of the inhabited areas of the Venetian valley floor, including Longarone, and the death of 1,917 people. Currently it is possible to see the crowning of the dam through guided tours organized by the Friulian Dolomites Park.

Bell tower of Val Montanaia - Val Cimoliana

The Bells of Val Montanaia is the symbolic peak of the Friulian Dolomites park. This hardy tower, unique in its kind in that it is isolated and totally separated from the walls, stands in a wonderful Dolomite base in the upper Montanaia valley, surrounded by a frame of spiers.

Barcis lake

The artificial lake of Barcis, located in the heart of Valcellina, welcomes visitors with its bright green waters and offers everyone a world of fun possibilities. The lake is a stone's throw from the Cellina Gorge Nature Reserve and the Prescudin Forest.


Val Zoldana

A valley gathered at the foot of the most beautiful mountains in the world, between Pelmo and Civetta: this is the Val di Zoldo. From winter sports, such as downhill skiing in Skicivetta, ski touring, excursions with snowshoes, to summer activities, simple walks, via ferrata and the great tours of the Dolomites.


Cortina d’Ampezzo

Nicknamed the "Queen of the Dolomites", it is the largest and most famous of the 18 municipalities that make up Ladinia, as well as a renowned winter and summer tourist resort, the scene of numerous sporting events of international importance related to the mountains and winter sports. It hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics and will host the 2026 Olympics together in Milan.
